The Creep
A game inspired by the song Creep by Radiohead. The only game mechanic is the climbing movement of the player character, “the Creep”. The Creep crawls on the façade of the house searching for an open window from which to enter. The fail state is being spotted in a window with an NPC and thus alerting them of the Creep's presence. Although being spotted in a window is an immediate fail state the only time the player can see the Creep is when he is visible in windows other than that he is hidden behind the walls of the house leaving the player to navigate the character blindly.
My Roles and Responsibilities:
Game Designer
We created this game to revolve around our only game mechanic, the climbing mechanic; where the player controls each limb individually to try and navigate the creep across the façade of the building.
Level Design
As this was a prototype I designed the level to test if players would be able to navigate through the level using the game mechanic with relative ease.
2D Graphics Artist
On this project I created the environment art as well as the background art.
